Fuelling your body like the high-achieving boss that you are, is one of the biggest keys to thriving’ in your health and fitness game, getting your hormones balanced, and keeping your feminine body feeling safe. In this blog post, I’m dishing out my top three pieces of nutrition advice for health-conscious, high- achieving women. These 3 are the ones that slip under the radar for many of my 1:1 clients which was keeping their body under-nourished, stagnant metabolism, and in survival mode.

 

1.Avoid Missing Meals Like The Plague

 

Ladies, skipping meals is REALLY not aligned anymore. Don’t worry though, you are not alone, which is why I am writing this blog on the Top 3 Nutrition Tips for High Achieving Women! You’re a high-functioning woman and your body needs to learn that there is a a steady flow of nutrients & food to keep up with your potential. Missing meals signals survival (Hi, Cortiosl). Also, conservation mode is real so your body will burn less (Hello, slow metabolism). So, no more letting this habit fly under the radar. It could be the one thing that changes a lot for you in terms of optimizing your body and results. In addition, regularly fuelling up will help balance your blood sugar levels (BYE BYE Cravings), keep your energy levels optimal, and… very important –  fire up that metabolism regularly.

 

2. No More Thinking of Food in Terms of ‘Calories’:

 

The Fitness Industry has done a fine job of drilling calorie counts into our heads. However, since you’ve learned all that now, and know your portion sizes, focus on healing your relationship with food. Taste is one of our senses, and as women, stimulating senses (sensuality) is very relevant when it comes to Optimal Women’s Health. Feeling pleasured and satisfied by your meals will provide that dopamine hit and nutrition, Show your taste buds some love, slowly ditch the calorie obsession, and allow this version of you to feel safe to eat high quality pleasurable foods. If you want to eat a burger and fries, find the BEST HIGHEST QUALITY burger place in town. One that uses high quality meats and fresh ingredients. I usually love the higher-end hotel restaurants for this! This will be the epitomy of a mouth-gasm. Also, eating in a high-end hotel just feels PURELY PLEASURABLE.

 

3. Eat a Variety of Micronutrients to Repair the Gut, and Replenish the Organs:

 

Any high-functioning woman, gets to have NEW level of nutrition priorities. Your body is ALWAYS working in the background. That means it is burning through the micronutrients – Zinc, copper, vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Thiamine, Vitamin D, Vitamin K. ALL the things. and to be honest, even a salad these days doesn’t give us the nutrient density that we need. If you are usually under a high level of stress, your body will need a lot more to truly optimize. I recommend a high quality powder like Moringa, Spirulina, or something like it that will pack a bunch of Micronutrients into a small digestible form. This will keep your immune system, gut health, brain health and so much more – optimal.
