5 easy ways to lose the holiday weight
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday brunches, lunches, & dinners!
Because the holiday season is a notorious time for packing on a few extra pounds, we are going to give you a few tips on how to burn off the holiday pounds.
1) Start the morning off with a huge glass of water & squeeze an entire lemon into it OR add a couple tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
Why? Holiday meals usually involve processed foods, foods high in carbohydrates, sugar, & fat. ACV can help neutralize the acidic impact this has on our bodies so bring your body into a healthier/fat-burning environment.
2) Don’t tell yourself you’ll “start after the holidays.” As you know, any weight you put on is hard to burn off again. You can still enjoy outings and gathering without overdoing it.
3) Do the following before breakfast today (and feel free to engage the family)!
– 30 seconds of jumping jacks
– Divide your age by 2 and do that # of pushups
– Multiply your age by 2 and hold a plank for that many seconds
– Multiply your age by 3 and hold a wall sit for that many seconds
– 30 seconds of Air Squats
4) Replace one meal today with any one of these 48 Delicious Protein Shake Recipes
MISSING A MEAL IS NOT THE SAME or BETTER THAN REPLACING A MEAL.
Use a high-protein shake to fire up the metabolism and keep the fat-burning mechanisms active.
5) Have a sugar-free day. Sugar that isn’t burned off shortly after consumed turns into belly fat. Chances are you may have had enough sugar yesterday during dinner so today let your body tap into the sugar from yesterday in order to avoid it packing onto your mid-section. Read: Cut Sugar Not Fat
Remember you can still enjoy gatherings without high-sugar drinks and high-calorie meals. Practice these tips throughout the holidays and go into 2017 with a little extra positive edge!
